I have a 1976 280z and i pulled a distributor from a junk yard today because i am pretty sure mine is toast. The one i pulled is from a 1977 280z, will this be a direct swap over? or will this require some sort of modification? thanks

i only ask because we had to unhook it from the main harness to get it out and it was hooked through this little black box that i dont remember seeing in my car( granted if have not checked it yet as i dont live where my car is) but thanks for the help nismo!
