Out of curiousity, is they any way to turn back the digits on a 240z speedometer so it reads 0 miles for a new motor?

Or you can spin it forward until it gets there... I have no idea if those odos have that safety stuff that marks it if you go backward...

better to spin it forward because its not designed to spin backwards and requires mods to do. i spun it backwards and the numbers dont quite line up right.

The guy i bought my car off reset the odo when he rebuilt the engine, but like stev said the numbers do not line up properly, better to spin it forwards

Well, for the sake of being "legal" i guess, I'm going to put away the original speedo as it is, and transfer in one from my '73. If i spin it forwards, can i get the numbers to line up right?? Or will this still be a problem? Thanks-Taylor
