is a 240z the car for me?
hell everyone, i own a 99 camry and just moved to florida from the chicago area. since i no longer have to worry about driving in snow or other crappy weather ive decided that i want to sell my camry and buy something fun. i had almost decided to go with an mkII mr2 until i saw this pic http://www.datsunracing.com/albums/2...8zpics/aad.jpg and fell in love.
the only problem is the age and finding one good. i would need this car to be a daily driver. ill be starting college soon and wont be able to afford to fix something new every month. hopefully ill be able to sell my car for around 8k. is it realistic to think that i could find a decent mileage 240z that wont require much more than routine maitenance for this amount? are they reliable cars if they are taken care of? what kind of gas mileage do they get? do they need premium fuel? ive never driven a stick before so if i was to get one with a manual tranny will it be difficult to learn on? would you be able to estimate how much insurance would be for an 18 year old with no accidents/tickets?

hey wantaZ, welcome to Zdriver! That Z you saw is owned by one of the moderators on this site. But, to answer your question, it's all about what you think. A 240Z is a high performance car, which means that routine maintenence needs to be done quite often. But, if you buy a great running Z, and keep up what needs to be done, it will last you a long time.
