200rwhp
Hi, I'm very new to the whole Datsun Z game and would really like to know more about the cars.
I have a current project idea that has to do with a 240sx and after seeing this video http://stream.zdnet.co.jp/gamespot/m...ght/wangan.mpg I got really interested in the older Zs. After small researching found that a Z is withen the same price parameters as my 240sx project and am now debating whether to scrap my old plan and make a new Z plan.
My question is how much would it approx. cost to get any of the older Z's to 200rwhp which is my modest goal on my price budget.
Also if any one can point me to some good faq's that would be great.

Re: 200rwhp
you can find a, 81.83 280zxT and have 200 with an intake and exhaust. or you can find a nice old 240z and give it the l28eT and harness and you can do the exhaust and intake thing and have well over 200hp in a 2000 pound car.
keep i mind, it is always expensive fixing up a car. Z's are a little more inexpensive than any car out there to fix up. They are more fun too!

Re: 200rwhp
I have a 240sx and a Z...
240sx : 200rwhp, SR20DET swap, exhaust, intake, boost increase to 10psi. (5k)
240z : 200rwhp, worked l28, mild work like the sr20 on a l28et,
rb20 mild work like sr20 (I would guess around 5k)
the big win if your in california is no smog on pre '73, why Im working on a Z and just driving my 240sx
