15" Rims won't fit
Hello,
I'm planning on doing the toyota 4x4 upgrade to my 240z within the next few months, however, I need tires now. I don't want to have to use spacers on my 14" rims. So I went to get some 15" rims at the junkyard. The only thing i could find were 300zx rims with a 4 bolt pattern. Scouring the yard for 4 good rims off of several 300zx's I was ready to go. Then I thought hey maybe I'll check them out on that 280zx over there to see if they'll fit. Well the rims are 15x6.5 with a 15mm offset they had on 215 60 15s i believe and they rubbed up against the suspension. I found some 200sx turbo rims too but they had even bigger tires on them and they didnt even have any markings on them to denote size. If anyone wants a 4.11 diff off of a 200sx turbo that car still had one on it. I wanted to get home or i'd have spent the time to pull it. It's at Hillside pick a part in RIverside. Anyways has anyone else used these 300zx rims? Or anything else that is good and cheap and easy to find?
Thanks

Re: 15" Rims won't fit
Are you talking about the 4 X 4 swap with the vented rotor, or the stock rotor? If you don't like any of the stock 14" ZX rims. Remeber that 280ZXT's had 15 inch rims. They had the snowflake style, and the more popular swastika style 15" rim. Might want to keep your eye out for that.
Funny thing is when I really am looking for something in the junkyard I can never find it, when I don't need them I see a million of them. Funny how that works huh
?
good luck
