I have been trying to use a GM HEI module with a stock 260z distributor. The only way I can get ignition at low rpm is to basically eliminate the distributor gap. Can someone tell me how to test the pickup coil? I replaced the HEI and had the same problem, so I assume it is the pickup, but would like to be sure. I can't find a pickup for sale and would probably have to buy a rebuilt distributor. Thanks for any help.
