How do i remove the headlights on my 74 260? having a hard time

 

Pull the front wheels and the buckets are removed from inside the front fenders

 

You don't have to pull the wheels or the headlight bucket. There are three (4?) screws that screw the metal bulb backing plate thing to the headlight bucket, take those out and unplug the light and it will fall right out. Then loosen the three screws around the chrome ring and twist it clockwise and it should pop off, then you can pull the actual bulb out and unplug it.
