flywheel and clutch??

ordered a new 225mm dual friction clutch since mine is slipppping and now grindin gears when getting on it above 4k going into 2nd and 3rd so im wondering that all im seeing as far as lightweight is a 10.5lb 240mm fidanza....is that going to work? and what mods if any will i have to do to match the 2 up?

You don't use a 225mm clutch w/ a 240mm flywheel....

lol!!!!! oh snap. yeah fidanza only made the 240 mm light weight flywheel. and a 225 clutch setup will not fit.

DOH!!!!

i got my 10lbs flywheel from a guy on here, unfortunatly i finally figured out it was a tilton flywheel and they no longer make them for our cars only 350Z's thezstore should have something other wise u can have a machine shop lighten it down for you.

yea i didnt figure it would work there kool kat.....but theres a guy on hybrid that "said" he test fit the 225 centerforce 2 and the 240 fidanza and "decided to go another route" and hes selling them so i figured id ask on there too....u can use the 225clutch but you need a 240 pressure plate to line up with that fly and jonmortesson from modern (i think) said that he should be able to get a lightweight fidanza for me (225mm) but im having him check on this. the only thing is...i already ordered the clutch and then thought about the flywheel...so i might return the clutch for a 240mm but will they fit in the 280 tranny since its not a 2+2 or turbo? and if anyone on here has one i would love to buy a lightweight 225 instead of going the 240mm route

yeah i think its just the friction surface thats larger not the whole flywheel or some crap. otherwise the trannies and starters wouldnt work with one another.
