My 2 cents: Sounds like maybe a short associated with the passenger side headlight connection. Clean the plug and connection really well with contact cleaner, and all around the area. If the contacts are really gross and corroded, you can use a little fine-grain sandpaper on the contacts. Then use a little dielectric grease around the seal for the connection, i.e. the edge of the plug. Don't put the dielectric grease on the actual contacts. It's not a conductor.

If there was a lot of corrosion, check around for some likely causes. The 280's overflow bottle is in that area, and the infamous S30 overheating or a careless PO could have caused a bunch of coolant to douse the area. Good idea to check there for rust anyway, it's a known problem area.

good luck,
Dave
