s30 rust/undercoating/treatment.

hey everyone.. just wondering what some good options are for rust treating an old s30.. ive got a couple that have original grime, surface rust, and crud on the underside and wheelwells, and engine bays.

once apon a time i sanded one, best i could to bare metal. then hit it with some seam sealer on the seams/ wherever water could nestle in.. then used napa rust treament spray (2-3 coats), then after that i used plastikoat truck bed liner, sprayed 2 coats of that lightly throughout..

i was pretty happy with how that job turned out, but i took alot of work and time.

im wondering if theres a better method or materials to use for this..

thanks for the help

POR makes a great product for rust prevention and treatment, also consider a panel bond epoxy for rust repair. Also checkout this "wand" for getting undercoating into those hard to reach places like rocker panels and wheel wells. You can drill a small hole into a sealed area to get to the backside if desired.

I´m about to restore and paint my 1972 240z at a shop which unfortunately has no sand blasting machine. They depend on wire brush and other hand tools.

Anyway, i would like to know how much POR-15 rust protective should i purchase? Should i just settle for this kit or do i need any other extras:
