74 260z tips and comments please

I just bought my 260z a few weeks back and i need some tips on how to improve perfomance and redue the interior. i have a holly 6 barrel carb on it, and had a breather, new fuel pump, filter and hoses put on it. The previous owner put new brakes, and a sound system installed. However, the system was draining the battery so i took it off. The system was connected directly to the battery. Any tips on fixing that, i was researching putting a voltage regulator on it. It had a few elecrical problems, the turns signals didnt work and the windshield wipers didnt work, but i got those fixed. Attacthed is a picture of the glove box, wires and carpet. More pics will come shortly. Add comments, tips, and pics please.
