I figured it was clear.

Yeah, I was talking about the tires that are more narrow than the rim. I don't get that. I think it looks horrible. Worked in shops mounting tires, and it does not even seem safe to me.

It's just a personal opinion though. I would not call it "hating".
I don't hate at all. I hate nothing, and no one. If I did, I would kill them or destroy it. Hate is an extreme word in my vocabulary.

The wheel combo on that S130 seems fine to me, unless I am missing something.

Thanks for the props guys (you were cracking me up there)...I don't think I have the best looking ZX, or the quickest, but I like it and try to do all the work myself.

I totally agree with the comments though, and I do plan on taking care of some of the engine bay. I already did a bit of headwork to it (unshroud valves, radius an mild port the exhaust runners, widen the bowls). I tapped the head for better coolant flow at cylinders 5&6, and it's now getting a four and 5-angle valve job from Rusch motorsports).

I'm probably going to shave the thermostat housing, have it blasted, and tap it so I can run the coolant lines from the head, also bead blast the front cover, and use a maxima diesel water pump and modify the front cover for more flow.

I ported out the exhaust mainfold, it is ceramic coated, I'll tap it for an EGT probe...that should take care of the heatsoak issue and look better too. I've installed a T3/T04E hybrid turbo, 3" wastegate, 3" exhaust to a Borla XR-1 muffler with a dual 3" tip (OD is 4"). I haven't decided if I want to go to an electric fan though...I also have a ceramic clutch to install after I get an aluminum (Spec) flywheel. Also, install an oil cooler from a SAAB that will fit under the intercooler.

I also have a Beta Motorsports Carbon Fiber hood I need to get painted, and I also want to get a 280ZX G-Nose, but I pretty much ran out of money now...

I'm shooting for 300-375 HP and I want to get into the 12's in the 1/4 mile. Here is a vid of me at the Portland Raceway last season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmDyyxdzgw8

Here are some pics of the exhaust / turbo I'm working on:

Later, -hughdogz

p.s. those are Rays Engineering (Volk) VR GT-P 3-piece rims, 17x7 front and 17x8 rear

Hugh, your S130z is definitely one of the nicest I have seen man. Glad to see on this forum as well as HBZ. I'm still sitting on the fence for the G-nose that's available. I really hope to see someone install it (and paint it) on their Z here. My urethane air dam is pretty much trashed on the edges due to scraping. I ended up putting my stock valence on for now since two of my mounting areas need to be refinished to securely bolt the air dam back on.

Thanks for making me feel welcome, lifegrddude!

This site is a really good resource for S130 (maybe better than HBZ). I need to hang out here more often, it is really laid back! I like Ratsun.net too.

I agree, I'm not sure how the lines of the Gnose will look mixed with the MSA skirts and rear valance I have on now...

Sold my 84 to my buddy a month ago. My 82 is getting all the attention now, heres where she sits now. Snapped these this morning on the way in to work. Just got the sportmax rims in the other day and my buddy shoed em' for me. Still working on the body, hopefully I will have the back end caught up with the front in a week or two. Matte black will be the final product...

I'll get the seats reapolsterd this spring when I start makeing some $$$. Black on black baby!

Yeser honda, I think they were out of a 88 civic si. Craigslist, think I paid 30 for the pair. Comfort at its finest! I am so glad to get my stock seats out, they were literly falling apart. Seat sliders still work. If my buddy gets his head back on this weekend I'll have to get some audio, the exhaust sounds really good.

Very nice Mr hate. I had those same CRX seats. They're great. Your car is looking pretty good in its unfinished state.

if i was a girl... i wouldnt sit in that car though. i've really started to look at those aspects... if i were to take a lady out, would they feel ok in this car if they had to wear something kinda nice... lol. i never used to give a crap (and still dont if its a full race car) but interior matters to me know, and yours is nice setup and all, it just looks dirty lol. unless you just took a bad pic idk...

I'm all about the rat look man! I kinda want to build up a L28et Ford pickup next, maybe a late 20's model, all slamed out. Besides I'm married man you forget this, my wife leaves me to my vices. She always says "it could be worse, you could be doing heroin" thats how she deals with my Z addiction. She even rides in it, and likes it!!

Check out this 78' I had(pics suck, old camera). I was telling the wife the other night I never should of sold this one. I paid $900. for this one, cleaned the gas tank out, swapped the injectors and AFM then sold it for 2,300. A/C even worked. I did buy it to flip it though, couldnt pass it up.

Let the chastizing begin.

Whats the scene like in Utah anyways you have a couple of Z guys you roll with or you kind of a los lobo, roaming the wilderness up there? Austin has a pretty tight scene, extended family sh*t, pretty cool. Definetly nice when you get in a pinch and need some hekp.
