Where/what seats can I get for my Z?

Due to the size of our cabin, Miata seats are an easy fit.

For an idea of what's available in a Miata 'size' seat, check out:

If you're more inclined to scavenge the junk yards here are some suggestions for good OEM seats that can be made to fit with a little modification:

Honda S2000
Honda Civic
Acura Integra
Honda DelSol (the SI version came with factory installed Recaro's!)

I installed manual Z32 seats in my 82 280ZX. It was a real pita, but I finally got them bolted in on all 4's. There's no room to adjust them, so you have to open the door to do it. They're extremely comfortable though.

That's why I'm more inclined to get mid-late 90's Miata seats instead. Just about as comfortable with a lot less hassle.

Congrats on getting those Z32 seats shoe-horned in there though. I'd love to see the finished product sometime.

I've been thinking about getting brand new s2000 seats.

Some kid got racing seats near me, so who knows.

Thoughts?

You're right Ray. S2000, 90's Honda Civic/Integra seats also fit nicely. If you can, find a Honda DelSol SI in the junk yard. They came with factory installed Recaro's.

are there any other cars that any one knows of that have the same bolt pattern (?) so there isnt any extra drilling required?

i am trying to find some seats that are a direct fit from another car, the legenth of the rail is good but i am having a problem with the width.

Anyone know the weights of the factory seats in the S30's? They may not be the most comfortable, but they do seem light.

I doubt there are any applications like that.
I took CRX si seats and removed the Honda seat rail. I drilled into the seats only, (or seat brackets) mounted the 280ZX rails, and then they bolted right into the car. that way you can still use the factory Z seat belts and no holes are drilled in the car.
