WTB LD 28 water pump pulley

Figured one of you guys may have one laying around. Need one for a land rover conversion. Shoot me an email if you got one. jaspergordonturner@verizon.net. I bought a 2 belt SD33 pulley (too deep) if anyone has a use for it will trade. Thanks Gordo

Welcome to ZDriver! The LD motor is fairly rare, and finding someone w/ a GOOD water pump laying around that they want to give away is more rare... especially when you can buy a new one for $29 or a reman for $19.

Reading skills FTW! Doh!

So is the LD28 pulley different than the L28 pulley?

From the looks of this pic, I'd say it's the same... uses a v-belt, and it's got the same clutch fan:

Im no expert but Im pretty sure it is different. It has two belt grooves best I can tell vs one...I figured maybe one of you guys had pulled apart an LD28 to get the crank and I might just get lucky. Thanks much for the replies. Gordo

So to clarify...

You are installing an LD28 into a Land Rover?
Or you just need the pulley because it's the right size?
Are you running two belts off the pump pulley?

Hey guys sorry for the delayed response. Spent the last week in the hospital unexpectedly.
Yes I am installing an LD28 into a rover. LT85 rover 4 speed with adapter plate and custom motor mounts. I need to run two belts off the water pump one to run the pump and one for the power steering. I believe the LD28 stock pulley will work. If I cant find one, I will either space or cut down the SD33 pulley I bought which is two groove but too deep. Thanks much. Gordo

If I remember right. The PS runs off the crank. the only other thing that runs off the water pump pulley is the Alternator... Then again I've never seen an LD in person. lol
