Looking for cylinder head temperature sensor and fuel injectors for my 1983 280ZX. Or suggestions for sources where to purchase.

I'm an Ex Z-car tech and have lots of 280Z & Zx EFI components and related parts such as head temperature sensors, Injectors and more.... if still interested.

I did find a source for the CHTS but I think still need to either refurb or purchase new injectors. My 1983 280ZX (non-turbo) sat for 10 years in a barn, has 159K, and appears to have had at least one injector replaced sometime in the past. It usually starts OK but then begins to run rough, nearly stalling whenever I come to a stop, and then chugs along like it's starved for fuel (although it appears to be running rich from the deposits on the new plugs.) If the CHTS doesn't cure the problem, I plan to change the injectors. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Duke

Some electrical connections could have oxidised while setting.

Check the major connections, clean, and plug in.

ECU, throttle position sensor, air flow meter

Aside from new spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor which are far cheaper than new injectors.

You need to see if your gas tank is clean and all the fuel lines and filter are clear from gum, rust .
You have a fuel delivery problem.
