280zx block and head

Hello. I 'm looking for another engine for my 81 280zx. I have an engine knock and no compression in cylinders 3 and 4 so I think another head and block would be a better option than a rebuild. I'm located in south Texas in the Corpus Christi area if someone has one they would like to sell. Please PM me if you have one for sell. Thanx.

How did you come across him and what are you doing with the old engine?

Hehe, nice avatar Skully.

TexasZ,I don't know yet, I know now that the block has a spun bearing, also the head may have a blown gasket or crack or something, i think. It has low compression in cylinders 3 and 4 I need to call my friend to help me take it off....heh, i know what to do, but my little arms aren't going to accomplish much. Anyhoo, it was through emails. And as far as the old head and block, i'll probably scrap if anything. ~Anne~

There are various mods i want to play with since my friend has a MS system he's giving me. After getting really dirty i managed to get it on an engine stand. Now to pretend to look like i know what i'm doing and tinker with it till someone stops to help me :P. Hehe, i'm going to upgrade, tinker, and tune what I'm capable of and maybe use this sight and one of my friends not scared to work on a Z motor. This should be really fun, hehe, i'll take plenty of pictures.....it'll help when i need advice after i fudge whatever i'm trying.

Post some pics of what your doing so the rest of us can see how it goes good luck!

wow, i feel silly right now. i had to ask my boyfriend from cleveland what a veranda was (blonde moment).....i'm sry, southern living means very little contact from the outside world for this girl. and he wants to know if he can be an honorary canuk being from cleveland and all and visiting there all the time. i think i'll start a new post tomorrow after i get a bunch of starting pictures of my project or is there suppose to be another place you post things like that?
