Ut Oh!.....
Well, I went to the dealer yesterday and got my oil consumption test started. My Z has consumed 1 qt of oil every 1,000 miles, so now the dealer needs to verify this so corrective measures can be taken.
On a slightly different note...I'm shocked that the dealer's oil change only costs $26 and they washed my car too. That's alot cheaper than doing it myself! Then again, I'm at the mercy of what they put in.

Yep, no Advans yet. No, they didn't say one word about my popcharger...or my clear sidemarkers. They did blame my air freshner. LOL j/k. Nah, they just sealed and taped the oil system and told me not to even check the oil level and to just come back in 1,000-1,500 miles so they can see how much it has consumed. They also said that 06 Altimas have a recall for this problem, but I'm the first 350Z to bring it to there attention. So I'll keep ya'll informed. If the car does get "bought back", I'm definitely gonna get the enthusiast model so I can have cruise control for them California/Utah/Arizona road trips. My guess is that if they do determine it a problem, they will just try to fix whatever it is before they would even consider buying it back.
Just tell them you have emotional problems with the loss of your car and that your taking prozac and talking to a lawyer.....then screw the enthusiast model and just tell them to give you a GTR instead otherwise you may be forced to take them to court. LOL.
Just playing...sorry to hear about that Brian, but yeah the cruise control would be nice.....expecially when we all head back up to Utah in Septemeber.

I'm thinking of going to Planet Nissan tomorrow instead of the nissan on the west side.
My issue is related to the tire feathering. Any ideas on what I should expect?
The car is 2004 enthusiast w/ 12k miles.
Should I also get a oil consumption test while i'm there? Do they charge for this test?
Should I get the extended warranty for $2500 or is it a waste of money. My warranty is about to expire this month. The offered the extended warry you can purchase when you buy a new car.

My 350 ate a quart of oil every 700 miles. The dealer replace the short block and I had some mods. Kinetix SSV intake manifold and hi flow cats, k&n typhoon intake, alphawerks headers and a borla true dual exhaust. Make them replace it. I did.

We went to arbitration about the feathering and lost because NNA lied. I put wider rims, stiffer walled tires and lowering springs and that seems to almost solve the issue, except I cannot get a "perfect" alignment. My front tires are now in great condition even being 2 years old now. NNA was simply a PITA to deal with the entire time and I have a lot of patience.

So they didn't give you any sh*t for the mods? (like saying, oh, that voids the warranty)? I have the Kinetix V+ to install, but I'm just going to wait another 1,000 miles until after their test. I've read other peoples posts on my350z.com and some of them had their engine replaced and ended up still having the problem. At least with the pop charger, I can swap that back to stock in 10 minutes or less.
