I don't want to say I told you so, but...I told you so. Sin City Performance is a JOKE. I wouldn't trust them to check my tire pressure.

I heard they suck......

In Vegas, Doug @ Ice Perfomance did a fine job changing out my springs, shocks and shifter.

When I had my Focus (don't ask) I took it to Regulate Auto Performance on Spring Mountain to install a set of H&R springs. They did a pretty good job, in fact, one of their guys there has a black Z. The last time I saw it, he had it's driver's side rear fender/bumper all dented and scraped up pretty badly.

Haven't seen him in a while. I should go harrass him some.

Finally, it's done. Well almost. I picked it up last night and drove home from Phoenix. It's amazing, the power is so smooth and if you drive slowly, you wouldn't even know it's there. The JWT clutch is very nice, although it seems to engage about an inch from the bottom. I think this will rise up in time. The power output isn't at it's full potential yet, but I'll be getting a new APS exhaust designed for this turbo in a few weeks. This will allow it to boost sooner and hold the boost higher over the RPM range.
At one point on the one lane highway, I passed 4 cars in a row. From 60 to 100 is a blink. 6th gear has as much, if not more, kick at 4th used to. I've never driven a car this fast.
The Zeitronix all-in-one display is great, I plugged it into a laptop and you can do about an hour of datalogging at a time. Will be great for track sessions. Can't wait to clean it out, clean it up, and really drive it later on today.

Congrats, dude. I'd love a ride (when you get a chance) to compare it to the TT. Did Dynocomp treat you well? Are you driving back there for the exhaust and retune?

Congrats Rob. I am anxious to see it. I may not want a ride in it just yet though because I don't want to spend that much money on my Z right now lol.

Forced induction

I plan on installing forced induction system in May, 2006 (warranty expires). I was looking at supercharging over turbo. Looked at Stillen system but didn't like hood replacement issues. Pro charger looks good and can be installed here locally at Combination Motors at speed way. Also am considering improving susnpension. I hav 20" rims and when hitting large dip in road bottoms on fender slightly. Maybe adjustable Koni's or coil overs. All driving on street as "every day" vehicle.

Would like to hear comments. Thanks.

PS couldn't make BWW. Maybe next time. How about the one on this side of town? I think on S. Durango.

We've been to that BWW, it kinda sucked. Service was terrible.

What springs do you have on? Mine never hits the fenders. Did you cut the bump stops? I didn't. It's a bit rough on large dips not bumps. Your next option is probably to roll the fenders. Dont go old school and use a bat.

The offset of your wheels is the reason for the fenders hitting. I would second Sam's idea of rolling the fenders.

Rolling Fenders

I just have stock suspension, and your correct it will rub on a good dip in rode on driver side mostly. Could be my added 240 lbs. I seem to have discovered about three areas on LV highways where it happens and try to remember to slow down. That might be the cheapest solution. Where do I get fenders rolled?

Parked car in Home Depot parking lot. Came out with big ding in paint down to primer! Oh well, that's life while living on planet earth. I am sure it was an accident?! Didn't look like door ding but some rather hard object got it! My first reaction was to go to body shop and have it professionally fixed but then I just bought some touch up paint. It looks like s--t, right by driver side door handle as a constant reminder.

Any ideas on forced induction systems? I see where turbos seem popular. I am hoping to find some installer/tuner here locally to keep it regularly tuned.

I personally am a fan of roots type (Stillen) superchargers, but like you, I am weary about the Stillen hoods. I have heard that because of the heat out here that superchargers are safer than turbos, but I guess we will find out with Rob's setup lol.

I am soooooo leaning towards going out and getting a Stillen SC. Only problem is that it's pretty much untunable from what I've read, but that doesn't really bother me. I'm only looking for a very safe 300hp to the wheels.

Heard anything about ATI Procharger? Combination motors can install it and tune it at speedway. Jim Wolf Technology in CA is coming out with CARB legal twin turbo. AAnyone familiar with?
