That VIN looks rediculous. Even Farrari's have stndard VINs. I think this is bogus. The pics don't look like standard pics of the actual car, either. At least have real pics of the car, not catalog pics. I feel sorry for the guy that falls for this one. I imagine that the reason that the first guy didn't send money is that the payment wasn't through an escrow company. I'll pass ( not that I could afford 5mil, anyway).

seems like he does a lot of car sales on ebay so i wouldnt doubt that its legit. look at his history.

I did, but here me out. I was looking at a 911 that was listed by a reputable seller and it turned out that he was some hacker, scamming piece of crap. He had everything listed right. The Co., the contact #'s, etc. The real company even had the vehicle on inventory. What is worse is the fact that this guy made a mirror webpage that looked exactly like the real one with only minor differences. What the sell came down to was how the transaction was to be handled. He wanted to go through Squaretrade. Now, that company is a very reputable company for backing sellers on eBay, but he was trying to tell me that they are an escrow company. In other words, he was saying that I could send my money to them as a third party until the transaction is finalized. That is all and good, except for the fact that they are not an escrow company. In other words, they will transfer payment to him immediately for a small fee. And, considering the price of a 911, the fee is immaterial. This is a very common scam and I knew it as soon as I heard it. I eventually contacted the real dealer and found out that the car was not up for auction at all. They never sell on ebay. Needless to say, that has made me hate online auction buying. You never know until you contact the seller and varify their legitimacy through many standard connections. This is why I made that post.

Edit: just to add something. All of the VINs on his page were correct and checked out ok, except for the vehicle in question. That is exactly the same with this Enzo. All of the other cars checked out but this one. All I am saying is that things on the net aren't always 100% what you think they are.

the vin may not check out if its too new... i had to deal with all kinds of new cars that wouldnt show up because they were too new...
