NHRA/Sony X-Plod Stylefest
Flier below for car show info.
I think this is going to have a pretty good turnout. I am entering both the Chevelle and the 350Z. So I will be there all day Saturday. I think we should have a couple of you guys show since you never have. There is a class for club participation and I think we should be a part of it. Everybody should enter, stock or not. Almost everybody on this board has at least wheels. You APS guys should really enter. Since the NHRA Sport Compact Nationals are running at the same time there will be a ton of stuff to look at and watch. If you are planning on going you are going to pay at least $20 to get in so why not pay an extra $10 to show your car.

Pre-Registration ends September 01 and then the entry fee goes up to $40 at the gate.

I thought it was $15 bucks to get in with a flyer off of their webpage and $30 bucks for both days? If my wife wasn't constantly spending my money I would have done some stuff to my car to enter it in the car show but, alas, this is will not happen for a while apparently. See you guys Friday.

I am only going to go on Saturday. I will be at the track at 10:00am on Sat. to set up for the car show, but the races don't start until 6:00pm so I will be there way before you guys anyways.

The show was pretty good except for it went on for WAY too long. I was out there for 12 hours. Sony had their incredible 350Z out there (crappy pic below). This thing was completely custom. They cut out the rear strut tower bar and made their own that was integrated into an 8 point roll bar. It aslo had a custom system with TVs everywhere, even a TV where the license plate goes. Not to mention a Stillen body kit, Vortech supercharger, and nitrous spraying into the intercooler and as well as a direct port system. It was definately one of the most customized 350Zs I have ever seen. My only complaint was that they let it enter the car show in the Nissan class. The resons I have for not agreeing with this are that it was the Sony Stylefest Car Show and the 350Z was Sony's as well. Another reason is that it was more of an exibition vehicle and wasn't even parked with the rest of the car show, It was over at the Sony X-Plod trailer. If it wasn't in the show I probably would have taken 3rd place, but thats ok. Here's who won the Nissan class...
1st - Sony X-Plod 350Z
2nd - Show only Altima with "Tinkerbell" theme.
3rd - All carbon fiber 240SX Silvia Conversion

The day pics I didn't get to take so my friend was running the digital camera while I took video with my camcorder.....that might explain why there were tons of Mustang pics but no really cool pics of the Z?!
