Might be needing a new body kit soon

Sooooo... I'm driving home from Jun's korean bbq this evening with a friend. Get on the 215 at eastern and everything is good. Start getting up to speed and all of the sudden car just looses all traction on the backwheels sending me into an uncontrollable fishtail. The car slid pointing left then i got it swung around to the right so I would avoid the rocks when i swung the back of the car back around I was pointed towards a Kia Sephia so I jammed the wheel back and slid the back end into the huge ass rock embankment then finally got total control of her again. Went on to the next exit and looked for any damage and amazingly it only looks like i put a pretty nice chip in my rear driver rim and scratched the hell out of the back of the driver sideskirt. The 215 felt terrible while I was driving it back to my friends house, just felt like the car was hydroplaning all the way to about a mile past the green valley ranch heading east, then the road pavement changed and I had great traction. It was pretty scary but I think I handled the car very well by not letting it slamm face first into the rock embankment or involving any other cars which was very very close to happening with the sephia. \

Also was anybody on here driving the 06 PPW all the way from Lake Mead Pkwy to flamingo? If so I want another go when I make sure my car is A-OK. I was a lil to nervous to try to keep up after the little mishap earlier in the night :paranoid:

So you were street (or highway) racing?

Sucks about your mishap. What time was this? I was going that route last night but that was not me. I would have remembered "playing" with another Z. :paranoid:

Those have been here a while know this is coming...

You need to do a couple track events. Last night the reason you lost control is because of overcorrection. I know it sounds wierd, but if that ever happens again, just let go of the wheel, put the clutch it, and don't press either the gas or the brake. The car will correct itself.

No when I lost control I was not racing. I was just gaining speed on the on-ramp and all of the sudden I'm fishtailing. Yea i had to over correct right before I went into the rocks I would rather mess up m car in some rocks then to get other cars involved and be paying out my ass insurance plus maybe some medical bills becuase i was headed right for the T-Bone on the drivers door on the Kia.

On the way home from my friends house tho there was a 06 PPW that was driving next to me, I just didnt want to get all the way on it becuase I didnt get a daylight assesment of the car yet to make sure everything was 100%

You need to check your tire pressures. when is the last time that you checked them? I used to drive that part of the 215 everyday without any problems, rain or 115 degrees

Good call on the tires. Check 'em!

Because it's Vegas, the oil on the road from a gazillion vehicles doesn't get washed away with rain. Ease off on the go pedal next time you head out on the on-ramp. I'm glad you and your buddy are ok though.
