Ok so I have come up with a few ideas for meets, so pick which one you guys want to do. Majority rules.


OPTION A: Group Drive through Red Rock Canyon and to Pahrump for some illegal fireworks and lunch!

OPTION B: Just a plain old dinner meet at the Hot Rod Cafe.

OPTION C: Tech Session at my house to help me get my roll bar and brake rotors installed. Plus whatever you guys need done


I vote for option A!

I vote for #1. Sounds good.

 

Might be intrested in option A, what time are you thinking of?

 

I say we meet when/where zztopp can meet and we can all gawk at the APS TT beast!!! I need to see a turbo to get me over the hump I'm in.

 

A and B sound like fun. Option C sounds like work.
I'll try do make it, depending on what time it is.

 

I am thinking we meet in the Best Buy parking lot on Charleston and I-215 at around 10:00am

My wife and I work so much and see so little of each other, there's no way I can get away for a jaunt this weekend. However, I live in The Lakes, not far from Red Rock. If you guys decide to do that trip, let me know what time and I can meet you in the parking lot of Albertsons at Sahara and Ft. Apache so you can check this monster out. It's the SE corner of that intersection.

 

G-dammit, of all the days, it has to be THIS Sunday. I'm manning the fort this weekend...

NOTE: The state troopers always stake out the highway to Pahrump around the 4th! Maybe just Red Rock, cause I couldn't stand going the speed limit on that piece of road.

 

I have a radar detector I can lead. Red rock only takes 15 minutes. It would take most of you more time to drive out there than to do the actual group drive.

 

Okay.....let me know if you guys want to stop by on the way out to red Rock and check out the APS system. If you do, give me a time. 9:00 AM? 10:00 AM? I could even meet you somewhere on Charleston if that makes it easier. The parking lot behind PF Changs at Charleston and Rampart should be pretty empty that time of day.

 

I can be at PF Changs at 9am. I call the first ride!

Awww...I guess I'll stop by. I don't know about a drive though. I've got to head to Riverside on Monday for a wedding so I'm trying to save all the money I can (damn wife ). But I should be able to meet up with you guys and then I'll make up my mind from there. Anyone know who does a really good tire/wheel balance? Discount tire wants $20 bucks a wheel.

 

Damn! Other places charge only $10 a wheel (Big-O, etc.) If you're a Costco member, they charge less then $20 for all four wheels. They even hand torque the wheel lugs. Call them to make sure.

 

Nevermind, Discount Tire hooked me up and didn't charge me for the wheel balance (tipped the guy $40 bucks anyway). The front right tire is deformed and the manager is going to try get me a new one without any cost to me. He said to call back tuesday and he'd get ahold of his friend at TOYO to do a warranty swap. Wish me luck!!!

It's about 45 min or so to Pahrump, nice stretch of road - looooong straightaways and nice twisties in Red Rock.

 

Looks like I wont be able to make it fellas. I have to go put money down on a house at 10:00am and I am not going to pass that opportunity up.
