Header Installation

I am picking up my DC sports headers this coming friday and was wondering if anyone cared to help me install them??!!!

istan May 19, 2007 11:57 AM

I'll help. Has to be on the weekend for me though.

ludameister45 May 19, 2007 12:22 PM

Hey Not A Problem Bro Whenever I Just Said Friday Because Thats When Im Picking Them Up

istan May 19, 2007 12:36 PM

Please tell me we don't have to shift your engine to put on the DC headers. If we do have to shift, uh I'm out of town that weekend :)

showtypeZ May 19, 2007 02:00 PM

I'm sure Aaron can enlighten you on that.

TP's are easy when doing headers since the cats have to come off anyways. If you plan on making any cooling system upgrades, now's the time to do it since we have to remove the coolant pipe to get to the passenger's side manifold.

istan May 19, 2007 11:21 PM

I'm looking forward to the header install. That will make my install experience complete for breathing mods. Tp is cake now :)

ludameister45 May 20, 2007 01:03 AM

so can we get like a set date as to when we can all meet up??

istan May 20, 2007 03:22 AM

I'll probably be hung over this entire coming weekend. But I'm still up for it.

i've done 2 sets of headers on z's, one was the dc sports and the other was the nismo. i found that you don't have to mess with the coolant pipes at all. i can actually get them done rather quick now. if you still need help putting them on let me know. i work at exton nissan and would love to help if that's not too far out of the way, our lil' toy is pretty fun. we have an 06 with vortech supercharger, headers back exhaust, and a bunch of other goodies.

istan May 25, 2007 10:47 AM

35th ultra"Y" May 25, 2007 12:11 PM

i installed my stillen header's. i won't candy coat it, they were a bitch! i had to removed the steel coolant pipe on the r/h side of the engine bay. i took my time during the install, install time was around 9 hour's.

showtypeZ May 25, 2007 01:32 PM

OUCH! better to take your time and do it right the first time though!!!
