Fix it ticket...
Alright guys, well I finally got popped for my tinted windshield. Its a fix it ticket, so no big deal. I know that I can just pay the fine and get out of it without having to actually removing the tint. But, I have another thought.
But first, I need to have this question answered to know if it will work. When you take in your car to have it inspected to the DMV, do they check the VIN number of the car? Or just the license plate? I think by my question, you all know where Im going with this.... |
VIN , your doing an out of state to nevada registration right. Or are you already registered in Nevada, if so there i no inspection.
I believe they would check the VIN
you can always go make freinds with an eye doctor and get him to write a note saying you need the tint.
Im already registered in NV
Oh i know what your saying now , hmm not worth it, jailtime , heavier fines ect ect for a $100 retint.
Where I live you just need a cop to sign your ticket. How dark is your tint?
The DMV doesn't sign off on the ticket. You need to go to a substation and have a cop sign it off. This is when it's nice to have a friend who's a cop.
do you have the whole windshield tinted or just the sun strip? If it's just the strip, can you get it trimmed to be legal? Or does NV law state you can't have any tint on the windshield?
You can have a small strip. I have a feeling his whole windshield is tinted..
they should allow the fronts to be tinted here to at least 40 or 50%. Sucks you have to fix. I know to get it off all you need is a hairdryer razor and some goo gone if that helps...
