A few of the parts awainting my Z's Return from VRT
Here are a few of the parts I have laying around waiting for my car to get back from VRT...
Seibon TS Carbon Fiber Hood... http://www.sincity350z.com/seibonts1.jpg http://www.sincity350z.com/seibonts2.jpg Corbeau Seats FX1 Pro (16lbs!) http://www.sincity350z.com/fx1pro1.JPG http://www.sincity350z.com/fx1pro2.JPG Odyseey PC 680 Lightweight Battery (15.8lbs!) http://www.sincity350z.com/odyssey1.jpg http://www.sincity350z.com/odyssey2.jpg Nismo LMGT4 Wheels Powdercoated Flat Black http://www.sincity350z.com/lmgt41.jpg http://www.sincity350z.com/lmgt42.jpg |
So what's the total price on this little project? You're making me change my mind about not getting that hood btw.

Like I said before, I want Mikey's job!
|
how much do those seats cost?? i really like em. what harnesses are you using with the seats?
oh, and i want your job too :D |
The seats retail for $279 each and then its $89 and 4-5 weeks for the fabrication of the brackets for the Z. All together its still cheaper than a Sparco or Bride seat alone. My sponsorship agreement with them states that I must use their harnesses as well, so I am running their 5-Point harnesses, which I was a little leary of at first because I wanted a more established name like Simpson or G-Force, but now that I have driven with them they seem to be put together very well.

Corbeau CR1 Seat = 27 lbs. Corbeau FX1 Pro Seat = 19 lbs. Corbeau Bracket = Approx. 5 lbs. Corbeau 5-Point harnesses = Approx. 3 lbs each Two Corbeau CR1s (reclineable) with brackets and harnesses = approx. 70 lbs... One Corbeau FX1 Pro with one bracket and harness = approx. 27 lbs. 70 - 27 = 43 lbs. weight savings! |
what are you doing with the old ones and what color are they?

love the nismo wheels

The office chair is a great idea. I've seen Sparco sell their racing seats as chairs.

The tires on the right are the ones I will be running on the rear of my Z. Both tires are 315/30/18, the one on the left is a Michellin Pilot Sport Cup and the one on the right is a Nitto NT01. I don't know why the Nitto is bigger, but I also don't care since it still doesn't rub!
Because I know this question is coming...wheels are an 18" x 9.5" Nismo LMGT4 +30 offset. And yes that is a bit wide for a 9.5" rim, but it still works. This same setup has been run on the track by VRT for quite some time, but with the Sport Cup tire instead of the NT01. http://www.sincity350z.com/tires315.jpg Picture courtesy of Eagle1 at FreshAlloy.com |
steamrollers. i love it. so you're going with nitto instead, huh? the tire on the left looks like a pirelli pzero.

okay, i want to look at them when we get to vegas. you said it takes corbeau 4-6 weeks to make sliders or did you have them made through someone else? those tires look nasty :D |
