Feeler: Rotora or StopTech BBK

What do you all think of Rotora or StopTech 13" BBK? They seem reasonably priced, includes everything except brake fluid, and deemed by many to be quality products. Anyone have other thoughts? Mikey, what do you think? I know you suggested AP Racing and I'm looking into that as well.

I believe that Rotora and AP are actually the same caliper, just labeled differently. Made in the same factories.
Stoptech is great, and a good value. I'll most likely be getting the Stoptech front kit someday, but at my last track event my brakes held up just fine, so it's not really necessary for the casual tracker like me.
But they sure look cool.

I have seen Rotoras burn up, Brembos burn up, and even 1 set of StopTechs burn up. My vote is AP all the way, but if you aren't planning on taking advantage of the Nurburgring, you could probably be ok with either one.

Hmmm I may go with StopTech, AP, or even Rotora. I'll definitely be hitting The Ring, but even driving around the villages, towns, and Autobahns really take a toll on stock brakes... especially when you have downgrades up to 25% in the country side (where I live).

I am no expert on brakes but here I my order would be AP - StopTech - Rotora. Or look into aftermarket Brembos even.

I saw a good set of 4-pot AP for a good price. Doesn't come with SB brake lines though.

you definitely only need the front brakes, though... here's an article on stoptech's website about that. they have lots of good technical papers like this on their site.

Actually, I am thinking in terms of my car which has a lot more power than your Z, so I doubt you will need anything more than the Rotoras. If you plan to go FI in the future, now thats a nother story.

Rob, yeap, you're right; I'm only getting the fronts. That was a great article, btw. I love it when they go into mathematical and physical theories.

Mike, FI isn't in my near future, so I can deal with what I've got right now.

I've seen good prices for StopTech, so I maybe getting those over Rotora.
