Didn't dig their helmets though. Where do you guys recommend other than Cycle Gear? Also, I got insurance through progressive for $1300 (much better than Geico's $3350) lol |
How well do you know helmets , if your not familiar in proper fit have someone with you that does. Cant really think of a place better than cycle gear , I got most of my stuff from them , its great being sponcered.

Congrats. Remember, no wheelies... yet. :unibrow:

Yeah, make sure you get te right size helmet. Most people make the mistake of getting a size that feels really good on them at the store only to have it loosen up in a couple of weeks due to break-in and the fact that sweaty hair is more compact. At the store is should be snug, but not headache-inducing tight. Grab the chin bar and try to rotate the helmet on your head. It shouldn't move more than a degree or two. Also, if you plan on riding during the day, consider a tinted shield. Just don't get caught out at night with it. I've always had Shoei's just because they fit me well. Different brands fit differently. Don't assume that if a large Shoei fits that you take a large in every brand.

Congrats on the new bike Chris! Great color choice! I would get some kind of rear fender eliminator kit personally. That or cut it yourself. They look so tacky IMO. But its your bike so its completely up to you. Is there any break in period on bikes?

And believe me I already have plans for the bike. Haven't been able to stop research online. Found a few great forums with tons of advice. I am shocked at how expensive the exhaust systems are for these though. Slip-ons for like $1300, Full exhausts for like $2000... Damn!!! |
Oh yeah...bikes aren't cheap by any means either! That's cool. No one into modifying likes anything stock. hahaha (unless its a classic of course).
|
Congrats on the bike Chris. I think your car feels neglected though.
|
a bike is a great way to keep the miles off the Z though! not to mention that he's still waiting on a hood. LOL
