August 20th-Autocross-Sam Boyd
Be there or be square. Registration starts at 5PM and ends at 6:30. First car out at 7PM. $20 for first timers (with coupon) $30 for SCCA members $40 everyone else.
You can preregister by following the event links at http://www.lvrscca.org If you've ever had an inkling to try autox or haven't been for a while, please come out and try it/do it again! The organizers of the local Solo events are barely breaking even lately because of a lack of drivers. Help us help them keep a great thing going! I just ordered my wheels and Kuhmos today. I'm praying I get them in time for the next event! We usually go out for beers and finger food afterwards which is usually around 10:30PM or so. See you there! |
Anyone hitting this one up?
|
I might, I'll have to run on street tires though.
|
I'm registered but I don't know if I'll make it now. If I don't feel any better by tomorrow it's not gonna happen for me.
|
I would but I'm playing Reflection Bay tomorrow.
|

I wish I would've known you were in HB! We went there Sat night. The rest of the time we were all over the place.
We stayed in Irvine but on fri night we went to El Toro for dinner for the pre-meet dinner, then we came back to Irvine and hungout at the Irvine Spectrum and such. Sat the day the meet started at 5am in Irvine and we then rolled down to Palomar Mountatin and tackled the twisities there. Then we cruised up to Temecula for wine tasting and lunch and drove around Lake Elsinore and ended up back in Irvine. We did all that with about 50 s2ks rolling together. While on the freeway most of the cars were in a line and 1 lady in a VW was watching us instead of the the road and veared off the freeway into a parked truck. Sat for dinner we went to some Sushi place in Mission Veijo and after that a lot of people stayed there and partied. Jimmy and I drove back to the hotel and then to Hunington Beach and kicked it there. It was a very fun but long weekend with a ton of driving. I htink we almost put 1000 miles on Jimmy's car. There were a lot of s2ks that came from AZ, I don't even want to know how many miles they put on. |
Thats cool. Saturday I was actually at my Aunt's B-Day/Anniversary Party at her ranch in Temecula (where you were wine tasting earlier that day lol). I didn't see 50 S2Ks together but I am sure some of the S2Ks I saw were stragglers from the meets. I couldn't believe the amount of modded S2Ks I saw in three days. Its sounds like it was a ton of fun.
