Aluminum block Vs. Iron block.
 
The answer is TENSILITY and HEAT!!! like i told you guys before. :)

That's why EVO X will better than any EVO from the engine to suspension because better technology, materials, research and development. :unibrow:

I'm going to have to disagree. Pound for pound, aluminum is better than iron. However, an iron block has many more pounds of material than an aluminum block. To make an aluminum block as strong as an iron block it need to be much larger with greater bore spacing. In the case of the EVO X, not only did they switch to an aluminum block, but the also went to an open-deck design whereas the old 4G63 was a closed deck. The new EVO will be a better car in stock form than the EVO IX, but it won't take to mods as easily. Like the Honda motors, in order to make big power numbers, the block is going to have to be resleeved with ductile iron sleeves.
