2006 350Z door panel removal

Ok, I'm trying to get my door panels off to swap out the speakers for my MB Quarts and am having a hell of a time trying to figure them out. Everything I've found online is for the 03-05's and the doors are different on the 06's. I know that its mostly held in with just the pop-in clips, but I know there's gotta be a couple screws in there as well. I'm just trying to figure out how to access those screws. The one in the door handle seems to be some kind of rubber piece that isn't wanting to come out to expose a screw behind it. So any help or knowledge is much appreciated.

That looks like the 2003-2005 directions...I need the directions for 2006.

The handle area doesn't have a "cup" with the screw in it...its a hole straight through for the handle. My door also has the useless cup holder next to the speaker.

Hmmm weird. Those directions were from the Aug 2005 revision of the 2006 350Z Service Manual downloaded from 350Z-Tech.com. Oh well. I tried.

My deepest apologies. Its the exact same thing you posted. Weird that it still shows the pic of an 03-05 door panel though.

Did the new manual work?

Just got it on my350z

1. Pull the door handle inside, as if you're opening the door, from inside. Behind it, is a screw, that needs to be removed with a phillips screwdriver. Suggest using a magnetic driver so you don't drop the screw inside the door.

2. Pry up the handle, where the window and door lock buttons are. There aren't any screws so just gently pry it up. Doesn't take much effort. I found it easier to pry it up, from the inside of the handle, cause mine wasn't seated all the way to begin with. Unplug the 2 wire connectors attached to the bottom of the handle. Set that aside.

3. Where the handle was, there are 2 10mm bolts there. Remove those.

4. Go all the way around the outer edge of the door panel, giving it a gentle tug, about every 6 inches. should pop out about 1 inch. The only thing holding the panel at this point, are just snap connectors. Once the panel is popped, all around, lift it up, cause it's resting on the top edge, by the window, and out. Behind the door panel, is another wire connector. A small gray one. Unplug this, run the 2 wire connectors, that you unplugged already, through the opening they're coming through, and you're free.

5. DONE
