Z Famous

At the suggestion of a friend of mine, I went into a bookstore to check out the new magazine by Hemmings, Sports & Exotic Car. Here's a picture of the cover. Do you see anything interesting about it? In the corner, maybe?

This merits a look inside.

That's a mighty familiar looking Z, there! (Hint: check out our own gallery to see more from the event those pics came from!)

I'll admit, it would've been cooler to be mentioned by name, or something, but I'll take what I can get in the way of unsolicited stardom!

did they ask you to use the pic of your Z? if not, you could make a pretty penny for them stealing a picture of your property.

Eh, people keep saying that. The thing is that the picture was taken by someone else, so I'm pretty sure the photographer is the one who owns it (actually, I'd like to find him so I could get larger prints of the pics from that event. I have several smallish digital copies, and nothing else--see gallery). Now, if I was offended by having a picture of my car in the magazine, I could probably raise a stink, and maybe I'd have to go after the photographer? I dunno. In any case I'll probably write the magazine, but more because I'm happy to see my car displayed than because I'm angry I was not asked permission :-D

Maybe I can force them to do a feature on me :-P they'll have to pay for some new paint first, the car isn't "presentable" currently...

Lsd

He would have won if it were not for traction problems. Or was it those LSD glasses?

Haha, no I wasn't really in the running for top spots at that drift event. The event was won by the M3 professional driving instructor guy, and second behind him was my friend in his 5.0L swapped RX7. They both blew up tires, great crowd-pleaser but I was being responsible so I could drive my friend home. Third place went to a guy with an RX7 that made backfires like pistol shots.
