Email from Kevin M. Cheek @ Crown Nissan

I just received this email. Someone should get it touch w/ him. :D

I spoke with one of your members at the recent auto show in Greenville. He mentioned that you guys might like to display one of your 240’s at our dealership. I’m afraid I did not get the gentleman’s name. If you know who this might be, could you please have him give me a call?

Thanks,

Kevin M. Cheek

Kevin I spoke w/you Sunday and mentioned the warranty work done on my 1987 300ZX at Crown. Also mentioned that my son had a Z32. No 240.

Boo--- on crown!

slalomskz 01-20-2009 11:51 AM

Boo?

100,000 miles, 21+ years old and Nissan and Crown honored the technical bulletin. Technician at Crown came out on Service Drive w/ bulletin and a Parts Department employee, went over all that would be needed to replace fuel system from tank to regulator to injectors ect. Ordered what was needed and not in stock, called me within days to set appointment. Dropped car off before they opened up and picked it up about 6:00 that same day. Runs beautiful, engine compartment left just as I left it, spotless, no scratches on fenders ect, car was driven appox 8 miles to check it out. $1700.00 bill only required my signature. Ask around, NOBODY is as fussy and anal about their Z than I am. Take your BOO and drop it off somewhere else. Maybe you dealt w/them on a bad day, or do you think maybe the problem might be you...?

Wow, someone jumped on the anger wagon.

slalomskz 01-20-2009 07:28 PM

Anger?

No "anger" involved. I've had good experiences w/Crown as have several others I know of. Also swear up and down that THE Zdoc / POWERHUNGRYBILL (Bill Wilson) is the best of the best as well as very fair. Anybody can have a bad day or get off on the wrong foot with a customer or for that matter a dealership. I have a different perspective than most as I was Service Director for one of the largest GM dealerships in the southeast. The dealer isn't always right, and neither is the customer...

PowerhungryBill 01-21-2009 07:01 PM

WOW... thanks for the great words there... very humbling !!!

TBK1 01-22-2009 04:01 AM

Hey Josh

Need to get that guy to join the club. Which part of South Carolina is Utah in? Hope it's not too far so he can make most of the meetings and all the events. How'd he draw those circles...

Glad they took care of you, and maybe I know some things you dont. And maybe I have had several very bad dealings with the Sales and service Dept on my 350Z. I simply stated "Boo" and i get this long reply? I stand up to the Boo and might even add a another "boo", but all joking aside its my .02! Maybe its good your Z is older, maybe they dont mind working on those, I dont know all im saying is I will never send anyone I know or care about to that dealership and I will never step foot on the property. Well except to answer alarm calls:006:
cheers

Kevin
