VIR Gold Cup
 

I will be running the Z Car at The VIR Gold Cup on 6/10-12. This is very cool event with many special and unique cars running.

The weekend will feature Italian cars as well as The International Healey Challenge. Healeys from Austrailia and Europe will be in attendance for one of the scheduled series races of the '05 Challenge.

My car with slick tires will be running directly against real 427 Cobras and ex TransAm Camaros. One of the Camaros expected will be the original Mark Donahue 1967 light weight Sunoco car. This car is VERY quickly driven by Pat Ryan from Birmingham Alabama.

If you are in the area make sure and stop by for a great weekend.

Is that the Donahue car that was so illegally acid dipped that they put on a vinyl roof to cover some holes...or so the story goes.

There may have been a vinyl top on it at one time. They do speak about the tech guy and his finger too. There is a story about a tech guy poking a hole through either this car or the AAR Cuda.

This one is the 200 illegal mods car. Two fours on a cross ram intake. One cool car.

The guy that drives it looks like an insurance salesman. You know the guy ... the one in the drivers ed cartoon that is mild mannered walking out to the car with his brief case. Then turns into a mad man behind the wheel. He drives the pee out of this car.
