My Z is a stock 1982 Turbo. Here in Phoenix during the very hot summers can I use regular unleaded gas with out an intercooler? Also has anyone installed or used a J&S Electronics "SafeGuard" engine knock controller? I just bought my Z this winter. I love these cars, and would be thankful for any help or information. I never ran my ZXT hard on anything less than 91, but I've pushed 9psi in 80 degree weather with no problems non i/c'd. I think you'll be alright on regular gas so long as you don't go around at WOT. The knock sensor you are referring to, see if maybe you can get Dave Coleman or Josh Jacquot from Sport Compact Car magazine to reply to you about it. I know they've used it on their project 2.5L Impreza.
