what type of gas is supposed to be used in a 280 n/a? I've had my car for a year and i have only been using high test thinking i was doing a great service for my car but I just found out that some cars don't take well to high test gas. It's been running pretty good but there are a couple of things wrong, like this annoying hesitation that I can't seem to fix.

Where you live at about sea level you can run lower Octane. The only actual difference you will notice is if you were to put some 104 octane in. Otherwise it really doesnt matter. I have had 58 different cars and have ran all different octanes and found no difference.

The higher octane burns slower giving a cleaner burn so as a rule I usually run one tank of high octane after every ten. In thereory it should help burn out any carbon buildup, but so does racing the motor. So to answer your question yes the higher octane is better for your car.

compression ratio
In most normal cars with a lower compression ratio that are n/a lower grade fuel will work. What I have heard is that if your engine doesn't ping or knock then your fine, but i'm still sketchy on the subject to. Go to http://www.howstuffworks.com/question90.htm and it really clears alot of things up
