whistle noise

just changed my alternator, power steering, and a/c belts and now there is a whistling noise whenever i reach about 3000 rpm. does anyone know what this is?

also i took it around the block a couple of times and this one time i opened the hood after i parked back at home and there was coolant shooting out of the top of the radiator reservoir. could this be the thermostat or water pump?

since you did change your belts.. that sound might be from not tightening them properly.. they might be loose and the whisteling sound is the belts slipping on the pullys... make sure you tighten them properly and not to over tighten them... and the coolant thing isnt your thermostat or your water pump.. it might just be your radiatior cap...

but if your belt isnt properly tightened on your water pump it could cause it to overheat and that would cause the coolant overflow
