turbo timers
turbo timers
Just a quick question..... Since my '84 ZXT is a daily driver, and goes on alot of short trips, will a turbo timer help, and can you reccomend one to me that 1.) doesn't cost a fortune 2.)is easy to install 3.)and will run the motor for at least two minutes without any fancy options? I just want it plain and simple.
Re: turbo timers
A turbo timer will do you good, cheap ones like a Greddy or older HKS are less than a 100, and I think they have wiring harness for them that will make it a simple plug and chug install. Most any import store online should carry them, option auto salon for sure has to have them. Search in Google and go for the best price.

Re: turbo timers
A turbo timer is a device that keeps the engine running so that the oil will circulate in the turbo after the driver has turned the car off and left.
It's great for people who don't know much about turbos and need something to remind them. It's also great for someone who hot rods all the time and is in a hurry to get where they are going.
It's not nearly as good as driving easily the last couple minutes before you arrive at your destination.
