87 NA 1/8 Mile drag Race

Last saturday i raced 1/8 mile against a Civic DX Honda ('93) and he beated me by 2 or 3 cars. If im not wrong, this civic has 100-110bhp, and my 87 /na 175bhp with mods. When i was racing i felt that the 1st gear is too short, and 2nd gear revs to fast vs displacement of the car. someone can tell me if i right or something is wrong with my car,

my car clocks 11.75sec on 1/8 mile

From the sounds of your first post and the time posted in your second post, it sounds like maybe you have a bad clutch. The reason is, there was a Mazda Protege MP3 that was running an 11.4 stock in the 1/8 with a 16.7 in the 1/4. I'm fairly certain an N/A Z31 can beat one of those.

something is seriously wrong with your car, or you don't know how to shift. I admit that I'm not the fastest out there, but damn dude.

I have to agree with lifegrddude. It does sound like your clutch is slipping.

Your RPMs should rise proportionally with your speed. If the engine revs up and your car doesn't accelerate as fast as your RPMs, your clutch is slipping. It won't be long before you'll have to replace it.

Yea.. I just replaced a clutch. And everyone said it was easy and quick (as I look for my gun). I'm lookin for you... I feel for you if your clutch is slipping and you have to change it and it's your first clutch that you've ever changed. IT'S NO FUN!!! haha. Let me tell ya. The closer I get, the further it seems...
