Crazy Headlight
ok its a 86zxt talking lady...After parking and turning everything off the driverside headlight sometimes comes on and drains the battery. It can turn on right away or spontaneously do it later when no ones there!!!! If anyone has any suggestions please respond.
Thanks

Re: Crazy Headlight
hahaha I've heard this one before..
A friend had an 84.. did the same thing.. he left it at my place one night.. 4AM cops knock on my door waking my 100lb Doberman and causing all kinds of noise to tell me I had a headlight on in my 84 300zx in the driveway..hehehe not funny then..sure funny now!
Anyways.. prob is a short or a faulty relay.
My buddy was too cheap to fix it, so he put in a switch up close to he headlight in the wiring harness to kill the power manually. He'd just stop the car, pop the hood, reach in and flick the switch to kill the power to the headlight..
Now he had to do this again further back in the harness, because the short ended up being behind the switch, the light would not light up, but it would slowly drain his battery overnight anyways..
huge pain.. the second placement of the switch worked.. he sold the car, and apparently the new owner still uses the switch.. hehehehe
