Rag Joint

Hello, I'm a new member so this question may be passed over, but I've been reading from thissite for awhile now, and am at a loss on my problem. I'm trying to find a rag joint for my 1990 300zx, but am having no luck anywhere. Dealers want 700$+ for it and site like z1motorsports have no clue. Thanks for any help.

... yeah... wtf is a rag joint? Maybe you're not having any success because you're making parts up...

A rag joint is the rubber coupler in the steering shaft. Doesn't appear to be available separate from Nissan but comes in a new steering shaft but those aren't available for the 90-91 models. Most autoparts stores have universal coupler kits in their Help sections so you might be able to use one of them.

KasbeKZ had the best idea to just call Z1 since they have lots of parts cars they should be able to set you up with a used steering shaft assembly.

I thought it was a made up part aswell lol. Thank you for the info guys, these things are tough to find. It's my first Z so I'm learning the tricks of getting the parts. And all the people in my area are flaky as **** so parts from people are hard to get.
