ABS light

ABS light

Ok so my ABS light is on. I havent driven the car since i put the motor back in (ABS light wasnt on before i took out motor) and fixing little things. Any ideas ? weird if they got bad when there not even driven

Bleed the system. DO NOT FORGET TO BLEED IT AT THE ABS UNIT AFTER BLEEDING IT AT THE CALIPERS.

If that doesn't remedy the problem, clean the connectors.

so, is it true that you have to be moving to read the ABS codes? have i misread the instructions for that?

Im not saying it has to move but its been in the same place hasnt moved. when i think of brake system i think of moving part.

i wasn't trying to answer your question. i have no idea how to. i was asking another question. from what i can tell in the FSM, you have to be driving the car in order to read your ABS codes. your thread just reminded me of my query, and i thread-jacked. sorry.

All of our threads we write benefit us all. And you are right about the car needing to be driven to read ABS codes.

the unit behind my passenger seat that blinks for ABS codes doesnt blink, im assuming thats why ABS light is on.
