i've been doing mods on my '91 300zx n/a since i bought it 2 yrs ago. the stereo system was the first thing...went with Kenwood head units, Kenwood amp, and cerwin vega speakers all around. the intake was 2nd, went with the stillen/K&N...sweet, but what a pain to install! with the help of a good friend, BEER, and an open end 10mm wrench, we got it installed. i bought the stillen 2+2 single tip exhaust system, had a shop put it on...looks great and sounds BEEFY. the jim wolf ECU is on its way this week...should be as easy as changing out a bad modem card i'll let you know what i think of it soon.

 

I am about to start moding my 90 n/a probably within a few weeks. I'll be starting with the exhaust, which is teetering between being hand-built and being bought from one of the major manufacturers. Money permitting I'll also try replacing the cats and maybe even headers. Then i'll go with intake from SGP (the $100 one). When I save up enough money it'll be UD pulley, ALC, ECU, before I go for internal mods (which won't happen for quite a while)

This might make for some good write-ups but it will be a very long process for me to upgrade due to payments towards school, car, and girlfriend(spoiled). I'll definately keep all of my upgrades posted and if admin finds them worthy i'll do a thorough write-up (lord knows their needed).

What sort of mods are you interested in? My car is fairly heavily modified and is constantly being worked on (installed 3" exhaust from turbos back this morning) so if there is anything I can help you with just let me know.

I've got a 1990 300ZX NA. Over 100K miles and a long list of upgrades I'm shopping for prices on. Upgrades include, exhaust, headers, Intake, suspension, ...Stereo is the only thing that has been upgraded...otherwise its completely stock right now. Body changes, new paint job will be minimal and come before the end of summer.

 

As an ASE Certified Master Technician who just recently purchased a bone stock 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo 5spd I might be able to tackle this assignment. I completed my first mod last night (POP charger) I will try to do a quick write up for you
