I am looking at buying an exhaust system for my 90 n/a. I was looking at prices and it seems that the HKS system is cheaper than Stillen, although I am leaning in favor of Stillen. I don't like the way the JWT exhaust looks, but I would like to know how good it is. If any one has any of these systems installed can you show me pictures.

you will really get the same performance from any exhaust that you buy, so all you need to base your purchase off, is looks and sound. find out which you like the best style wise, and hope it sounds the way you want it too =c)

rather tame in the TT. I don't know where it gets the loud rap from...maybe if you get rid of your cats. But then again, ALL exhausts will be loud without cats.

 

I have a 90 NA 2+2 and installed the B&B quad oval tip cat back system....I could not drive the car it was so loud inside. I literally had to where earplugs when I drove the car. The low frequency sound caused one of my ear drums to hemorage and I had to get treatment.

The performance increase was very noticable.....I miss this because I sent them back and got a refund. Instead, I had a new stock Calsonic system installed and now have my hearing back.

 

Yes...but remember that's an NA, not a TT. The turbos really kill quite a bit of the noise as they spool.

 

I have the HKS which I purchased from Stillen on my '90 300ZX n/a. I love em! Noticeable power boost with a good low rumble you'd expect from a performance car. Not too loud as others are. If you get the exhaust, make sure you also do the K&N air intake. Very inexpensive upgrade that lets your engine really breathe. Not to mention, much cheaper in the long run. Those rectangular stock filters are not cheap.
