Has Anyone Seen Or Heard Of Steel Shift Forks In The Five Speeds, Or Is My Spare Tranny The Only One. (79 I Think)

I thought they were all steel. Or am I misunderstanding you? I was thinking stamped steel but hey I could be wrong. I've never actually checked what it was made of.

the shift forks in most trannys ive seen are cast aluminum, my one tranny are actually steel, i ordered 1 from nissan to see what would come and it was aluminum, i talked to my local z club and they have never heard of it, so i turn to the pros, you guys

Ah, I see. I didn't know that. I always just assumed it was steel. Does it look like the stock one? Maybe it was fabricated or even an old heavy duty piece from back in the day? Who knows. You got me though. Shows how much I know
