Questions about Safety Boost???
So i've heard the term "safety boost" several times...but really dont know a thing about it, so i would like to be enlightened...
what exactly is safety boost (besides 7psi versus 9.5psi...)?
what causes the car to go into safety boost mode?
when in safety boost mode, how can you get out of it?
i dont have an ecu yet, i will in a few weeks, but for the time being, how can i run say...12psi (i dont wanna push it with more than that having not done the ecu yet)...how can i raise it at all and avoid going into safety boost?
if i raise boost levels, will what is considered safety boost raise too? for example...7psi stock safety boost is a drop of 2.5 psi...so does that mean if i raise boost levels to 12psi, and my car goes into safety boost mode...will it go down to 9.5psi?
any and all info regarding anything concerning "safety boost" is greatly appreciated...as usual, i'm just trying to learn as much as i can...
