Greddy E-Manage anyone????

hello all,

I was wondering if any of you have used this piggy back system or not???? And if so, is it worth my while, why or why not???? And what possibly would be better for the money??? Finally, I have bought a greddy B-spec II electronic boost controller, and I am also wondering if this piggy back system will be able to pick the difference between my everyday low boost situations and my weekend hi boost situations????

thanks,
Jason

I don't think you can use the e-manage with the stock electronics. A guy on Hybridz was trying forever and a day to get a piggyback to work and he couldn't. Our efi systems stock are too outdated (8 bit fuel maps). If I remember correctly the e-manage runs on at least obd-I cars and better with obd-II cars since they have all those various sensors for the ecu input (not to mention 16 bit or better ecus). Best bet might be to upgrade to the Z31 ecu with a Z32 MAF and use an S-AFC, F-CON, or any other piggyback system to tune it.

Seems like after getting all that stuff to make a piggyback work, you may as well have bought a stand-alone EMS. At least you could use that for an engine swap down the line too. Though, you would have to tune from the ground up instead of just modding an existing map.
