Maybe it's just my machine or not, but many of the avatars are messed up. Mine was until I re-uploaded it from the computer. I would guess that during the last upgrade done it corrupted the avatar files for many of us.
If yours is messed up try to upload it again and update your user cp file for the Avatar.

Maybe the rest of the folks will fix theirs too. Makes me think I've been eating peyote when I see some of them.
