"Family car"

so... what do you guys consider the ultimate "family car"? (aka. the car I use when my z is in the shop)

Me I would say an M3 or a Caddy El Dorado...

acura TL's are nice. M3's. Well, the family car shouldn't really tempt you to go fast either since you don't want to with kids in the car. So my mom bought one of the new v6 accords. It actually has some get up and its very nice for a great price!

I am sorry but I have seen those Toyota Prius's And I think they are one of the ugliest godawful cars I have seen in my lifetime. Bleckk, if I had to drive that, regardless if even I had kids, please shoot me. Because I wouldn't be caught dead in that mishaped matchbox.

Now for me, if I did have a family, which I don't. Something sporty with more than 2 seats, or an old station wagon, to tote the kids around. No minivans, or anthing like that. But the way it looks, I won't probably ever have a family. At least not anytime soon, I have too much going on with my life. I mean I haven't had a girlfriend in over 5 1/2 years! Okay getting off kilter here, just my opinion of course, that is how it works.

the volvo is a nice choice, except volvo in general has gone a little to crap since Ford bought them. The M45 has been having issues. A neighbor bought one and it eats a quart of oil every 500 miles!!!!! It's brand new! I guess it's common on them, and nissan/infiniti needs to fix something! The Q45's with the smae motor have been having the same problem.

I tried that argument with my wife... She wasn't buying it. Thought I could get away with buying a Z32 2+2 for a spare "Family Car". Problem is, We have 3 kids. One would have to ride in the hatch area

Lol, you could always replace the back seat with a bench... it has plenty of room for 3 kids in the back if it wernt for the bucket's... its the leg room that makes it not the best for adults back there

I would say E36 M3. You can still take it to the track if the Z is down. If money was no object E60 M5. 500 hp V10 that revs to 8250rpm with 7-speed SMG III gearbox =
