What are you trying different this season?

Anyone here trying some new trick setup or going out on a limb and doing something totally different? How about the mental aspect? Anyone changing something there? Is it all about the driving shoes?

I'm planning on not changing a thing with my Z simply because it worked so well last year. However, I may get to co-drive a F125 kart this year. Sooner or later I plan to buy my own, but right now that's not financially possible. So might as well practice with someone elses kart, become good, and then know what to get when looking for a kart!

How about anyone else here?

After reading a driving book I am going to try the obvious point he brought up. Look at where you want the car to be, not at what you want to miss (cones). I have always been told to look way ahead but I am sure I focus on apex cones here and there. His example story was his wife wondering why when they ride bikes, he could miss the bots dots when he slalomed through them and she would always hit them when she tried. He told her not to look at the dots but to look at the spaces in between.

Left foot braking :) ... I was practicing it a little last year and was much faster doing it.

The other thing I will try is to actually get the car looking presentable . Nothing worse then driving a primered car . I would also like to get some " NEW " tires and quit running take offs . This list can keep going and going

I also want a trailer . I hate changing out tires at an autocross . Plus driving a 30 year car to an event and home gets old after awhile . I sure hope I can get me a trailer this Summer.

1. Less friction in the suspension
2. reduced scrub
3. more ackerman
4. less rotating weight

Easy to write but should take all year.

what is ackerman?
