Since the boards been boring...

i'm gonna ask a boring question.
you know, since some one said its been pretty boring arround here lately

ok here it goes.

so i have been reading up on my next car (mercedes) and i notice they share a similar problem with spark plugs that most older foregin cars do only its mor pronounced. the fact that modern spark plugs are resistored for interference and old ones that shipped with the old mercedes and with our old cars (s130 and earlier) didnt have resistors in them but had resistors else where in the system. sound familiar?

well on our cars its pretty easily fixed with a yellow or red can and didnt affect the car too much any way but i got to wondering.

#1
who makes non resistored plugs still and sells them in the US?
#2
is there a way to take the resistor(s) out of the ignition system of a Z to get bigger spark?

told you it was boring

#1 NGK does but their for dirtbikes and ATV usually
#2 I dont think their are in a ZX system... Actually I know their isnt unless its in that little control box...

nvm I'm dead tired theres 2 resistors. One on the alternator and I think theres one around the coil somewhere Its kinda small and just on one wire Its like the size of a AA battery cut in half and as far as I know you can bypass them but your ECU may hate you

just run a resistor plug, or go to autozone and get plugs specific to your car?

plug specific applications will still have resistor plugs. i've checked here at the places i could, schucks, napa, car quest and they dont have any thing
and yea i forgot the little capsule under the coil but i dont think the ecu would hate any thing if it were gone
